Trey Thriffiley – Chief Executive Officer
Trey was born and raised in Thomasville, Georgia where he excelled in baseball and as a musician. Trey attended Auburn University in 2009 to turn his passion for flight into career reality. His first flying job put him right in the thick of it as he managed a Piper Malibu Mirage. During his first management job, he made time to sit right seat in an IAI Westwind. This experience turned into his first type rating, an Embraer Phenom 300 and eventually into his current Chief Pilot position for a private flight department. Trey has since earned his Airline Transport Pilot rating with multiple jet type ratings. He has been named the Chief Executive Officer of QIS Aviation Group, a private aviation startup providing white glove service to all aspects of private aviation as well as community involvement. Through QIS, Trey became involved in Operation Airdrop. OAD is a charity organization that uses volunteer pilots and airplanes to deliver supplies to isolated victims of natural disasters immediately following the event. Last year, OAD delivered over one million pounds of supplies to disaster areas in the five days after the storms hit and continued to provide relief throughout the holiday season to families that lost everything.
Brian Rambo – Chief Operating Officer
Brian was born in Atlanta, Georgia where he grew up playing football and participating in the Boy Scouts of America. After graduation and earning his Eagle Scout, he attended Auburn University. While at Auburn, he obtained his instrument, commercial single, and commercial multi-engine pilot certificates on the way to graduating with a Bachelors in Supply Chain Management and a double minor in Professional Flight Management and Aviation Management. After college, he earned his Certified Flight Instructor Certificate and got a job with Lanier Flight Center as a flight instructor. Brian is a Philanthropist, volunteering with Angel Flight as well as Operation Airdrop. He was named Chief Operating Officer of QIS Aviation Group by his peers.
Matthew Kasl – Chief Financial Officer
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Norwich University prior to commissioning as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Over the course of his seven-year military career, he held numerous command roles, including while deployed, and he was trained to directly coordinate close air support from multiple aviation platforms. Following his service, Matthew attended the Chicago-Kent College of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in May 2018. Based on his strong background in business, corporate law, and finance, he was selected by his peers as the Chief Financial Officer role of QIS Aviation Group.
Michael Class – Chief Compliance Officer
Michael graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a major in Aeronautics and a minor in Business Management. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he resides in Orlando, FL and is a First Officer at a US based low cost airline. Prior to joining the airline world, Michael spent 9 years in a mix of corporate and charter flying in aircraft and helicopters. With his extensive background on the front line of charter operations, he was chosen to be the Chief Compliance Officer for QIS Aviation Group.
Ryan Spellman – Chief Marketing Officer/Head of Business Development
Ryan graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University majoring in Aviation Business Management with a minor in Meteorology. He went on to join USAirways in a Station Management role before moving on to JetBlue Airways where he became the Station Operations Controller for their largest operation at JFK Airport in New York, NY. Additionally, he led the Emergency Response team for JFK which focused on managing the potential response to a aviation disaster. The team was responsible for liaising with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey along with OEM, NTSB, FAA and US Red Cross. He was selected to be the Chief Marketing Officer for QIS Aviation Group and is the main connection with the emergency response charity Operation Airdrop. In addition to these roles Ryan spent 5 years in the Long Beach Police Department Aux Unit serving as a Aux Police Officer and then Corporal-Field Training Officer and founded a charter brokerage. His extensive interactions with high net worth individuals and companies led him to be named the Chief Marketing Officer/Head of Business Development at QIS Aviation Group.
